    GhostTrack

I’m exploring what everyday online identifiers can reveal.

How to read this & what to try

An IP address, phone number, or username can leave public clues. This puts a few of those lookups in one place.

An IP address is a network address, so its location can point to an internet provider or VPN. A phone lookup checks formatting and numbering information. A username search checks for matching public profiles; different people can use the same name.

Try this: Start with your own public username. Compare the matches and notice which sites return Unknown. The IP, Phone, and Username tabs each check a different kind of clue.

A matching name is not proof of identity. IP locations are approximate, and phone checks do not locate a person or identify the owner.

    Sources, limitations, and responsible use

This is a web-based implementation of GhostTrack, an OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) tool. Features:

    • IP Tracker: Uses ipwho.is API for comprehensive geolocation data including ISP, timezone, and connection info
    • Phone Lookup: Uses Google's libphonenumber library for validation, formatting, and carrier detection
    • Username Search: Checks 24 social platforms by making HTTP requests to verify profile existence
